Racheal was born and raised in New Jersey and is currently an undergraduate student at Barnard College, Columbia University. At her high school, Bergen County Academies, she worked on her own research project, studying the usage of melatonin as an adjuvant treatment for breast cancer. After her cousin was diagnosed with nonverbal autism, she decided that she wanted to study neuroscience and work to understand the brain more. To that end, she is working on the impact of maternal behavior on the olfactory system in the Marlin Lab. She currently volunteers as an EMT in her hometown and hopes to pursue an MD-PHD/MD in the future. Outside of the lab, she loves to paint/draw, bake, golf, listen to every genre of music, and play with her two dogs, Bean and Lamb.
