Kalei Swanier is from Columbus, Georgia and a rising junior at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she is a pre-med biology major. Swanier is also a Team Lead Information Technologist at NC A&T Client Technology Services, where she assists users with computer related issues. Swanier participated in the RED Design Fellowship Program at NC A&T, where she coded and designed a prototype of a rehabilitation glove. Academically, Kalei has demonstrated academic excellence as evidenced in being a Dean’s List student. She has received many academic awards: The Columbia Chapter of the NC A&T Alumni Association Scholarship, The M. Richardson Scholarship, James Palmer Scholarship, the NC A&T Scholarship, TMCF Stephen Feinberg Scholarship, and AER MG James Ursano Scholarship. Kalei plans to continue her education endeavors by attending medical school upon graduation. In her free time, she loves to cook, work out, and play basketball.
