Emily graduated from Barnard College in 2020, where she majored in Cognitive Science, a major she petitioned to create and which is a combination of computer science and neuroscience. She researched transgenerational epigenetic inheritance in the Axel Lab throughout her undergraduate career and hopes to pursue it as a long-term research goal. She spent a semester at the University of Cambridge writing two independent dissertations relating her interests in neuroscience and psychology to different problems in the world today. She is passionate about outreach and public engagement in neuroscience, and on campus is a board member of the Columbia Neuroscience Society. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Cambridge.
