Clara Liff

Lab Manager
2020-2023

Clara is a native New Yorker and graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2020 with a degree in Neuroscience. As a transracial adoptee, she has always been deeply curious about the interplay between genetics and the environment — particularly, how a parent’s experiences can live on through their children even if they’ve never met. She started as Bianca’s technician in the Axel Lab in 2020 and became lab manager when the Marlin Lab opened in 2021. Clara hopes to assist in uncovering how generational trauma can inform the ways that future generations experience the world. In the future, she hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a DVM. Outside the lab, she’s probably drawing, playing soccer, or teaching tricks to her cat Atari.
