Arya is a senior at Bennington College, majoring in biology. He grew up in London but had a diverse range of experiences in education and work. These led him to an interest in the capacity of experience to shape our brain and behaviour. During term, he investigates the cell biology of yeast, but at the Marlin Lab, he hopes to explore the impact and mechanisms of fear conditioning on the olfactory system of mice.

Outside the lab he enjoys running, going to gigs and exploring the city.
